stencils.

this week, i painted one of my favorite quotes onto a canvas. i used a paint pen to outline the letters with stencils and then filled them in using white paint. i love how the white letters look on the black canvas, but it took a long time (and three coats of white paint!) to make the letters pop. the benefit was that if i made a mistake, white is really easy to cover with black. i was paranoid that i would spell something wrong and have to redo it, but it turned out well!
